In 2020 the badger cull rolled out to another 11 zones, making a total of 54 cull zones.  In those areas badgers are trapped in cages and shot or even more controversially encouraged in groups to piles of peanuts in the middle of a field where shooters will fire at them with high powered rifles.

The method of free shooting has been condemned by a government independent expert panel and the British Veterinary Association, due to the length of time it takes for the badgers to die, roughly 20% take more than 5 minutes to die from their wounds.

This site specifically represents people who are engaged in direct action, If you would like to know more of the history of the campaign, please have a look at the cached site of badger-killers.co.uk
